Artist Bio

   Everyone has their own identity. Whether they base it on their personal experiences, where they came from, or even their gender identity, everyone has one that fits them. There is also the identity that other people decide for us. One that we are given by everyone we interact with. It could be the same view, but oftentimes it is very different. I strive to understand people’s identities and use digital art to explore them. 

   I work to portray and explore a person’s identity in my art. I start my studies on traditional paper with pencil, and then digitize them and add expressive color. I enjoy looking at the people around me, and seeing how they interact with the world. Most of my art, however, is based on characters from various media sources, or characters I create. I get to read or watch their experiences and then draw them with expressions and poses that I think would fit them. Other times, I can draw them in poses that are out of character for the meme. 

   I am very much interested in how humans work emotionally. Seeing reactions and enjoyment is very fulfilling. Exploring identities has also led me to create comics, which allows me to explore and share stories made by characters. Digital art has made this process easier for me, as I have an easy range of colors and digital brushes to bring out a character's identity.
